Community Based Respite

Community Based Respite provides support to families of children with special needs either in the home of the child or in an approved home within the community.

Respite is a pro-active program that allows families to take a break from caring for a special needs child at home. For the child, it is a home away from home. We carefully screen caregivers before matching them with families to reduce the overall level of stress in the home.
