This program provides lifeskills training and support to individuals with developmental disabilities either in the family home or in the community.
Lifeskills allows individuals to set time-specific goals that lead to greater independence. Some examples of lifeskills activities include:
- budgeting, bill payment and money management
- grocery shopping, menu planning, food storage, meal prep and cooking
- home maintenance skills such as cleaning, recycling and home organization
- personal, home and community safety
- social interaction
- fitness, recreation and social programs
Participants need a referral from Community Living BC (CLBC) in order to access the Lifeskills program.
