Lifeskills

This program provides lifeskills training and support to individuals with developmental disabilities either in the family home or in the community.

Lifeskills allows individuals to set time-specific goals that lead to greater independence. Some examples of lifeskills activities include:

  • budgeting, bill payment and money management
  • grocery shopping, menu planning, food storage, meal prep and cooking
  • home maintenance skills such as cleaning, recycling and home organization
  • personal, home and community safety
  • social interaction
  • fitness, recreation and social programs

Participants need a referral from Community Living BC (CLBC) in order to access the Lifeskills program.
